Kiyosumi-Shirakawa is an atmospheric former surface area of Tokyo Japan that attracts visitors amongst its large beautiful Kiyosumi Teien Gardens, the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo Japan, numerous picturesque shrines together with temples, and, to a greater extent than recently, amongst its upwards together with coming cafe culture.
We visited the Allpress Espresso Tokyo Japan Roastery & Cafe in, broadly speaking, the Kiyosumi-Shirakawa district (strictly speaking, a district called Hirano). The stand-alone large night wooden edifice is hitting inwards itself together with was originally a warehouse, nicely renovated inwards 2013.
Inside is wood-themed together with spacious, the high ceiling adding a massive sense of extra dimensionality to what is a large enough, only non massive, flooring area.
Allpress Espresso is a New Zealand company, together with its Kiwi roots are apparent inwards to a greater extent than or less of the nutrient on sale, notably the Anzac biscuit that tugged this expat Kiwi's heartstrings together with had to live on ordered. Another was the Long Black on the java card that, again, gave me no choice. My partner ordered the Cafe Mocha.
The staff was welcoming together with friendly, the Long Black was expertly brewed without a hint of bitterness, the mocha had synergy (unlike our homemade ones which gustation similar zilch to a greater extent than than java together with cocoa), together with the Anzac biscuit was besides goodness equally my mum's!
The roastery together with café are separated past times plate glass, giving the whole infinite an integrated feel, together with giving customers the peril to run across the production beingness roasted correct there. Coffee tin besides live on bought here, of course, for virtually 1,800 yen for 250 g together with virtually 7,000 yen per kg.
