years have a rosy tint to themthen my mom brought back this lip balm from france the last time she went, and now it’smy pencil case hero and they were giving out this nice bare mineralsmarvelous moxie lip gloss in rebel in vidcon bags about two years ago, and they’re quitenice, a bit of peppermint oil mixed in now these lipsticks are my prized possessions,nyx mattes in shocking pink rose intense and alabama, such a good brand and i actuallygot them for free! it was my first solo gig, i just did two little poems for eight peoplein some tent at a music festival downtown, and the guy who hired me was like, we can’tpay you in money, but we do have a bunch of makeup and i was like deal.
this is the first lipstick i’d ever boughtmyself, february of last year, because i was going to put temporary pink streaks in myhair for valentine’s, and i decided i needed a lip color to match. it was 12 bucks fromthe body shop, and i rode my bike all the way down to the shop, so i felt very matureand independent since i was on my own, buying grown-up things. these nude lipsticks are from bare minerals,i treated myself after doing nicely on the act and i got them on sale for 15$, honestlyeverything is worth more when it’s marked downif you ever get me a gift, let me open it and then tell me how much you saved when youbought it because that is the best way to
receive presentson the subject of natural colors, i use this cream stain a lot for performances, it’sreally close to my natural coloring my bff ariela got me these purple and bluelipsticks for my birthday and they’re so cool, too cool perhaps because i barely havethe courage to wear them out of the house. the purple really makes me look like a drownedcorpse, it’s beautiful one of my cool godmothers also gave me a bunchof these pati dubroff lip crayons last year and they’re very fun and easy to use, ikept at least one in my bag all summer to the point where they’re all flat from beingleft in the sun when i went swimming these nars lip pencils were the birthday specialfrom sephora, and it worked out really well
because i completely forgot to pack lipstickwhen we went to new york in april for women in the world, so me and my mom went to sephoraand cashed in her birthday gift! she thinks that the red is garish so i get to keep ithaha and these lipsticks are from my grandmother!they are my favorite of all. i found them when i was cleaning the bathroom a few monthsafter she died. she had really good taste in makeup and fashion, and these shades inparticular are perfect because there’s one for my mom, one for me, and one that looksgood on both of us. everything about them reminds me of my grandmother, from the floralcontainer to their scent, which smells like cheek kisseslipstick is my favorite makeup product, it’s
