Kashima, a small-scale town on the coast of the Ariake Sea inward southern Saga is dwelling to i of the Three Great Inari Shrines, Yutoku Inari, besides equally having a decent collection of erstwhile buildings inward an Historical Preservation Area.
There is a big, modern hotel inward the town, but when I tried to mass a room they were full, in addition to thence earthworks some I came upward amongst Shiratama Business Ryokan, a small-scale family-run hotel inward a tranquillity neighborhood close 400 meters from the Hizenkashima station on the Nagasaki Line.
The room was non large, but, unusually, had a western bed rather than futon, in addition to the bath in addition to bathroom were en-suite. There were the commons facilities, desk, TV, kettle etc. The prices were really reasonable, 3,500 yen simply for a unmarried room, 4,000 amongst breakfast, or 5,000 amongst breakfast in addition to eventide meal.
