sup guys. tyler here with lija. we're gonna check out ameyokocho!!!!! in the ame (rain) so appropriate. the beautiful weather we're having right now.
Ueno Park, super happy about it. that was a little bit of sarcasm. anyways we're still gonna enjoy it. basically ameyoko is a huge market.
there's a lot of interesting stuff here. fresh fish. you guys will see it with your own eyes right now. let's go check it out. oh man. there's some yummy ass food in here! i really don't like this rain though. i'm not digging it. spicy hot dip! ameyoko is pretty cool.
this is my first time here. she actually knows a lot more than me. she's behind me. look at her. one of the more famous places in ueno. i'm doing this in a way of kind of sneakily taking pictures of the shops behind me without actually taking pictures of them. alright so it's lija again. i'm walking down the ameyoko street right now you can see
all sorts of fish and other things. on my left and on my right. ameyoko used to be the black market to be honest. it's actually quite interesting because you get to see all sorts of things here.. all sorts of people. there's a lot of chinese families eating some real chinese food. like the street kind of chinese food.
for example the restaurant behind me. it's got a nice mixture of cultures. mixture of all sorts of things. and personally, i really enjoy it. i think it's very cool for the... casual walk. it's also wonderful for the time out with friends. ameyoko is very cool.
you have to check it out at least once for the atmosphere. for example, even this fish market the fish that you see there. i pretty sure you can only find those kind of fish in asian countries. maybe only in japan, i'm not sure. ameyoko is usually really crowded on weekends. right now since it's raining, it's kinda hard to take this video.
there's not as many people here. you can get a better glimpse of ameyoko. you can keep walking. just getting some....footage. watch yourself. one of the really good things about ameyoko is that you can find really cheap bowls of sashimi (raw fish). i personally find this place incredibly great. i've been there a couple times.
i thought it was delicious. even for tokyo standards, it's rare to find bowls like this for 500 yen. it's around 4 or 5 american dollars. i think it's quite amazing! hey guys. we just finished walking around ameyoko. and we had a lot of fun. i'm actually quite happy. the weather got much much better.
i know the video is kind of short because we couldn't take video in all the places we wanted to. but still it was a lot of fun. i hope you guys enjoyed the video. awesome awesome. really good example of a "shoutengai" or shopping street in japan. really good food, get some shopping in, get some munchies in. if you like this video, be sure to check out some of our other dogatv japan videos. and we'll see you guys next time
